I'm Abel Tadesse (@Abel-et)— a Computer Science & Engineering student at Adama Science and Technology University. I design and build full-stack web applications, compete in algorithmic problem-solving with A2SV, and apply data science to solve practical problems.
01 — About
I'm an undergraduate Computer Science & Engineering student at Adama Science and Technology University, currently in my fourth year of a five-year program. My interest sits at the crossroads of software engineering, information retrieval, and data-driven products.
Day to day, I build full-stack web applications with React and Node, sharpen my algorithmic thinking through A2SV, and experiment with Python for ML and analytics. I care about clean code, readable UIs, and shipping things that actually work for people.
Right now, I'm open to internships and work opportunities where I can contribute to a real engineering team, learn from great mentors, and grow into a well-rounded engineer.
02 — Selected Work
A mix of academic projects, client work, and personal experiments — each one taught me something different about shipping software.
A full-stack project management portal built for the Project Management Division of Nib International Bank. Enables teams to track initiatives, assign owners, and report progress across the division.
An information-retrieval project built for my IR course. Indexes a document corpus and returns ranked results through a lightweight web interface, with relevance scoring and preprocessing pipelines.
A growing archive of my LeetCode and A2SV problem solutions, organised by topic. Each solution is written with a focus on clarity, complexity analysis, and idiomatic code.
A data science project that classifies customers by behaviour using clustering techniques. Covers the full workflow — exploratory analysis, feature engineering, model training, and visual reporting.

A practical toolkit I've built up through coursework, client projects, and side experiments — biased toward what helps me ship quickly and reason clearly.

I'm a trainee in A2SV, a competitive training program that prepares African engineers for top-tier roles and interviews. It has sharpened my algorithmic thinking, pushed my discipline around consistent practice, and connected me to a community of driven peers.
